Meet MDM~Melissa Dawn Monge-Owner & Founder

  Melissa Dawn Monge attended college at Palm Beach Atlantic College in West Palm Beach, Florida where she studied Business Management and continued on after graduating to earn course credits towards a Masters in Business Administration. Melissa had babysat since a very young age in her hometown and she has been a nanny for families on vacation and on call for many families growing up. So when she went away to college she found a local agency so she could continue to babysit during her college years. She was beyond impressed with her boss and the concept of the business. Melissa kept the dream of one day owning a babysitting agency of her own tucked in the back of her mind and went on to obtain a career where she was very successful for many years. After those 10 years in Sales and Marketing with Marriott Vacation Club, Melissa had a door close unexpectedly. After moving a thousand miles away from New Jersey, to South Carolina, with her then 4-year-old son, the department she transferred to downsized. You know the saying “when one door closes, another opens” …. She looked at this as a blessing and instead of waiting for another door to open for her…She created the door and looked at this as a crossroad. For her, this was an opportunity to follow a dream that had been tucked away. 

This is when two sisters, Melissa Monge and Christina Walls, formed Guardian Angels Sitting Service in 2009. Guardian Angels Sitting Service started as a professional babysitting agency and then later pet sitting and elderly sitting services were added. Christina was the sole owner of Guardian Angels Sitting of Southern New Jersey and Melissa started Guardian Angels Sitting Service of Hilton Head island. Just one location was not enough for Melissa so she expanded all over the Low Country into Savannah and Atlanta, GA and Charleston and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Many clients and customers as well as babysitters used to always ask how they could own their own Guardian Angels Sitting Service. 

After much research and development Christina and Melissa created Earth Angels Enterprise. Earth Angels Enterprise was set up as a Licensor and this was how they were able to sell licenses for others to open their own Guardian Angels Sitting Service in other locations such as Washington DC and Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Melissa is now the mother of a teenage man child who was born at just 1 pound 14 ounces and has since grown into a healthy, active, loving young man. He is an amazing athlete and has his own dream of becoming a Philadelphia Flyer one day. He also enjoys football, basketball, soccer, surfing, as well as hockey. Melissa and Kayden reside in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina but still call Cape May, New Jersey their home! 

Melissa’s past work experience with Marriott and as a business owner has lead her to her passion and love for marketing and the development of new ideas and turning them into successful businesses. She would always assist friends and family with their new and upcoming businesses and getting them started from the ground up, discussing marketing plans with them and then assisting in implementing them. She decided to take her expertise in business development and Marketing and start MDM Design and Marketing so she can help others be successful.
